On Grid Systems
- These systems aim to reduce the value of the monthly electricity bill.
- The PV system is connected to the electrical grid through the net meter which measures the amount of production of the panels and the amount of consumption from the grid.

Off Grid Systems
- These systems are used in separate locations or out of away from the electrical service of the grid.
- The energy generated by the solar panels is stored through long life batteries to ensure that the system operates longer periods of time, during the night hours and during the absence of the sun.

- Solar pumps are used to dispense electricity from diesel generators or national power grid.
